Planting seeds for the future with the help of The Green Organisation

The Green Organisation are an independent, international, non-profit, non-political environment group dedicated to recognising, rewarding and promoting environmental best practice around the world. The organisation has been helping other businesses to be recognised for their environmental efforts since it began in 1994.

Stanair have been valued members of The Green Organisation since 2014, and have actively played a part in the organisationÂ’s tree planting initiative. The initiative is part of the Green Earth Appeal and the United Nations Billion Tree campaign. The campaign has encouraged partnership between governments, organisations, communities and individuals to work towards a better global future through the planting of trees.

Each month, Stanair receive a Certificate of Achievement, recognising their environmental efforts. So far, Stanair have planted 320 trees during their membership. In partnership with their fellow members, The Green Organisation have passed the very impressive milestone of planting over one million trees in the last three years.

“We’re very conscious of the impact of climate change and the effect this has on people around the world,” said Martin Wall, Director at Stanair, “to be involved with the work of The Green Organisation is something we’re very proud of, and we’re proud to play our part in their impressive milestone.”
