Higher Access in action at Kings Cross Station

Higher Access News and PR from Higher Access - Published 02 July 2013 Time sensitive… delicate floors… Out of hours… constrictive working area… internal and external work…
Just some of the reasons the FS320Z from Higher Access was selected to carry out essential lighting works at LondonÂ’s Kings Cross Station. Higher Access were able to supply two operators to work Friday and Saturday night in the station; allowing the contractors to concentrate on their work, without having to worry about familiarising themselves with a complicated piece of access equipment. Two experienced operators also meant minimal down time onsite (as they covered each others breaks) and maximum safety as there was always a competent person on the ground.

The Skako FS320Z had a massive 17m of outreach, allowing it to reach over the escalators – as you can see in the picture! It still has extremely compact transport dimensions though, less than 1100mm wide – and minimal loadings, making the FS320Z a safe choice for working on the delicate paving in and around the station. The FS320Z is able to work on mains electric and diesel engine for maximum flexibility whether working indoors or out. For extra safety, Higher Access spiders are supplied with nylon spreader plates for use under the outrigger feet – we can supply floor protection and larger pads depending on your requirements.
