We Support Neave's Fund

Higher Access News and PR from Higher Access - Published 01 July 2013 We are proud to say we support Neave's Fund
Neave Erica Hope Evans was born by emergency caesarean section at 06.11am on Sunday the 2nd of October 2011. She was resuscitated and it was 18 minutes before she took her first breath. The prognosis was not good and her parents were told to be prepared that she may not survive and if she did she would be brain damaged.

Neave has subsequently been diagnosed with four limb cerebral palsy. She has poor muscle tone in her trunk and cannot sit, walk or crawl. Neave cannot talk as yet though is very chatty in her own way.

NeaveÂ’s Fund was set up by her parents to raise money for two invaluable charities; Legacy Rainbow House and ZoeÂ’s Place Baby Hospice.

Neave goes to Legacy Rainbow House for conductive therapy. This is specialist therapy for brain injured kids and makes a huge difference to developing and maximising their potential. Rainbow House helps children with physical disabilities between the age of 3 months - 16 years.

Zoë's Place Baby Hospice provides respite and palliative care for babies aged 0-5 with life limiting or life threatening conditions. They make no charge to parents/carers and so the annual running costs (in excess of £1,300,000) must be raised solely through fundraising initiatives and donations.
