WORLD EXCLUSIVE NEW SMX250HD

Higher Access News and PR from Higher Access - Published 13 January 2014 Higher Access has taken delivery of the first brand new, world exclusive Multitel SMX250HD. What does the HD stand for? HEAVY DUTY!
Higher Access worked closely with Multitel to develop the machine to their specific requirements. Peter Ashburner, Operations Director, spent time with the design team in Fossano, Italy and says, “We have a number of customers to whom we supply tracked equipment who need machines with greater ‘off-road’ capability. The new SMX250HD uses the same boom configuration as the popular standard machine; but with a heavier, wider chassis which offers increased ground clearance and superior stability. The increased variable tracking speeds of up to 5.2km/hr make the SMX250HD ideal for those jobs where longer distances – to aerial masts or pylons in fields, for example – need to be covered from the delivery point.”
The SMX250HD has a maximum working height of 25.3m; and a maximum outreach of 11.6m. It also has an increased payload of 220kg in the cage – with no restrictions on the working envelope.
The SMX250HD is soon to be followed by a 29m model, which is forecast to have a payload of 290kg in the cage, and an even greater outreach – watch this space!
For more information on the new models please give us a call or email – we’d love to hear from you!
