CRUPPAIL - Developing novel processes for the plating industry

A-Gas Electronic Materials Ltd News and PR from A-Gas Electronic Materials Ltd - Published 29 August 2017 The CRUPPAIL project will deliver a new chemical process that can plate zinc-nickel, but match the technical properties of cadmium.
Can Cadmium be replaced? This is to be achieved with the use of novel ionic liquids and deep eutectic solvents produced by Prof. Karl Ryder's group at the University of Leicester.
The new chemistry will be piloted at E.C. William's a Birmingham based plating company and supported by A-Gas Electronic Materials, Env-Aqua Solutions and the Surface Engineering Association.
The CRUPPAIL project will deliver a new chemical process that can plate zinc-nickel, but match the technical properties of cadmium.
