Omni launches new Range of Differential Pressure Transmitters

Omni Sensors and Transmitters Ltd have been appointed as Halstrup-walcher Distributors in The UK and Ireland. Based in Germany, Halstrup-Walcher offers both standard and customer specific solutions for highly precise pressure measurement applications. The product range complements our current portfolio of environmental sensors.


Cleanrooms must be kept at a constantly higher pressure than their neighbouring areas in order to prevent infiltration of contaminated air from outside. This is not just required by the relevant standard ISO 14644-4. Every expert in this area knows how air quality can quickly deteriorate if the overpressure falls by just a few Pascal even temporarily. In the field of semiconductor manufacture, dust particles and other pollutants can compromise highly clean finished products. In the pharmaceutical sector, hazardous substances can penetrate highly critical medicines. These potential problems can be safely prevented by Halstrup-Walcher, offering high precision pressure sensors, developed and manufactured on their own premises.

One of the company‘s specialist areas lies in the smallest measurement ranges such as those required in clean rooms. These sensors are integrated into three products, which cover every application: The P26 differential pressure transducer for mounting in control cabinets (or wall mounting ,from which pressure hoses lead to the clean rooms), the PUC 28 panel version for direct installation in a clean room wall , and the high precision KAL 200 mobile calibration device. Powered by a rechargeable battery it can be used to calibrate all pressure measurement locations regularly .

The compact differential pressure transmitter type PS27 is particularly suited to filter and pressure monitoring applications in the heating, air-conditioning and ventilation industries. An optional display allows measurement values to be read directly on-site in Pa or kPa. An optional time constant (up to 4s) allows the instrument to generate an attenuated output signal, even under fluctuating pressure conditions. To reduce wiring costs, the instrument is also available in a version with two-wire technology (optional). The PS 27 can be mounted either on a wall or on top-hat rails. The instrument is available with an ISO factory calibration or DAkkS calibration certificate (optional).
