Heavy contaminations of oil and greases on mechanical parts can be very difficult to remove, hazardous strong solvents can soften the contaminations, but aggressive scrubbing action is then needed to remove the contaminations from the surfaces of the products.

These solvents contain VOC’s (volatile organic compounds) and are flammable and must be used in a well-ventilated area with the operators wearing personnel protection products such as breathing masks / safety goggles & gloves. Once used the solvent is then classed as a Hazardous Waste product and must then be disposed of through a registered waste collection provider.

Teknox have developed a range of environmentally friendly parts washers that utilise three elements for cleaning, water, heat and pressure.

The Teknox Lavapen system has an operating temperature of up to 60*C and up to 80 bar adjustable washing pressure all in an enclosed stainless-steel cabinet making the cleaning process very quick and safe.
