Graham Fick, Technical Director of Cragg Vale based Zikodrive Motor Controllers has once again been shortlisted for Engineer of the Year at the Motion Control Industry Awards.
The prestigious event, held annually in Birmingham, brings together the best of the UKÂ’s motion control industry to celebrate the best projects, companies, products and developments from the previous year.
In what is a growth industry dominated by many large international companies it is considered a ‘feather in the cap’ for the company that Graham has made it to the final two years running.
“I’m obviously delighted” said Graham, hastening to add that “as much as it’s a personal achievement for me I could not have done it without the huge levels of support and assistance I receive from my colleagues, particularly our MD Phil Bates”. “He has been hugely important in allowing me the freedom to work on new product developments and helping deliver some quite complex design projects this year”.
Graham has made it to the final this time for his work on expanding the companyÂ’s range of brushless motor controllers, which are now being shipped all over the world, but also for his work delivering a number of important custom design projects for a range of international clients.
Managing Director Phil Bates added “we’re obviously hugely proud of Graham for being shortlisted two years running”, adding “hopefully this year he can go one better!”
The award ceremony will be held at the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham on the 9th May.
