CPD strengthens Interflow’s industry-leading role

Interflow UK News and PR from Interflow UK - Published 20 July 2016 Interflow has launched a CIBSE accredited CPD programme highlighting the importance of protecting below ground structures against water from the ground.
The programme – Preventing Structural Damage by Eliminating Water Ingress Through Service Penetration Ducts – illustrates how various service duct sealing products aid compliance with BS 8102 – code of practice.

Interflow has over 25 yearsÂ’ experience in supplying and installing durable, rugged solutions for service entries, ventilation, air cleaning and filtering, and in-floor drainage. It is the UK distributor of a specialist range of products for the built environment, designed to enhance, add value and increase sustainability across housing, commercial and public sectors, thereby helping customers optimise building performance, save energy and reduce their carbon footprint.

With the CPD programme, Interflow is cementing its position as a leading solution provider for developers and specifiers, which is further enhanced by the companyÂ’s comprehensive guarantee and extensive product knowledge.

As the UK distributor for DOYMA, FRANK, HKD and Konex, Interflow combines in-depth knowledge with precision German engineering. The CPD programme focuses on how this combination helps to develop strategies for dealing with groundwater and earth-borne gasses.

The CPD shows why it is important for all new developments to consider structural design, weatherproofing, waterproofing and the construction process together in order to ensure the right solutions are identified and implemented.

Interflow uses high-profile projects, such as the upgrade of Victoria Station in London, to show why having a waterproofing expert as part of the initial design team is paramount to the long-term success of a development and creating a genuinely integrated solution.

Other important aspects of projects featured in InterflowÂ’s CPD are water table classification, waterproofing protection, the durability and reparability of products and the role of future-proofing projects against changing climate and environmental patterns.

In addition to new-build solutions, the specialist products and services provided by Interflow include retrofit and remedial systems.
