metalweb colleagues from Birmingham, London and Oxford operations are flying high after landing NVQ qualifications.The qualification, which is widely recognised in industry, focused on Lean Manufacturing tools and techniques, in particular continuous improvement. As part of the training programme the team were introduced to lean tools, such as 5S, visual management, Kaizen and problem solving techniques to name just a few.
Tony Heard, Operations Director at metalweb, said: “The NVQ training programme was delivered over a 12 month period. I have to say I am personally very proud of the team and their achievement. We are already seeing great value and business benefit from the team as they put their newly learnt skills into practice.”
