You’re hired!

Signs Express Limited News and PR from Signs Express Limited - Published 07 April 2014 Signs Express (Glasgow) has recently taken part in Invest In Renfrewshire's "Recruit" Awards Ceremony. The programme, which was launched in June 2012, is designed to boost the local economy.
Based loosely on the theme of TV show “The Apprentice”, the programme helps to train young people in order to better equip them for the job market and help them into work. The ceremony saw a number of employers committed to the cause, ready to offer employment to some of the “recruits”. Unlike The Apprentice though, there is only hiring, not firing and Signs Express (Glasgow) were delighted to be amongst the employers at the ceremony which was compared by Radio Clyde D.J. George Bowie.

The Glasgow sign makers hired Tyron Dingle on the night and he is now settling in well to the team. Keen supporters of such local enterprise initiatives, Signs Express (Glasgow) has also recently taken on Scott Paton through The Lennox Partnership who work with Renfrewshire Council to help school leavers and anyone who has been unemployed for up to six months to find a job.

Graham Casey, owner of Signs Express (Glasgow) commented: “Young people face difficulties in trying to find that vital first job to give them work experience. As a local business owner, I’m delighted to have been able to take on two trainees in recent months to cope with increased demand for our products. We’ll provide a stable work environment and offer training in this interesting sector. The Awards Ceremony was a very enjoyable night and a great time was had by all. We have signed up to the “Invest In Renfrewshire” scheme and will continue to work with them in the future, it’s great to be part of such a fantastic local initiative.”

Signs Express (Glasgow) was originally established in May 1995. Due to the dedication of all members of the team, the business has expanded and now operates from a 6,000 ft. custom built unit. In 2009 the business was taken over by Graham who is dedicated to ensuring that every customer receives consistently good customer service and high quality products.
The programme, which was launched in June 2012, is designed to boost the local economy.
