Falkirk sign makers in awards victory

Signs Express Limited News and PR from Signs Express Limited - Published 25 November 2013 Signs Express (Falkirk) were proud to win the inaugural Productivity Award and were also finalists for the Best Sign Project award at this year’s Signs Express convention, held at the Radisson Blu hotel in Derby on Friday the 8th of November.
The convention, which was based around the theme “working together”, consisted of seminars and speakers during the day, followed by an awards dinner and evening entertainment. The Falkirk sign makers, who fought off strong competition from over 70 nationwide Signs Express centres, were delighted with their double accolade.
The Falkirk team, based in Grangemouth, entered the Best Sign Project category for their work with the Aurora Hotel Group, a fast growing high end collection of hotels. The team were approached in the first instance to quote for replacing existing signs at two of their locations which required a revamp, using their new corporate branding. This led to the Falkirk centre being involved in many more rebrands for the hotel group, who wanted to ensure each of their hotels looked their best to stand out in an ever more competitive market place. The work was regarded very highly by the four judges who awarded the sign makers their place as finalists.
The Productivity accolade called for entrants to demonstrate their ability to get the most from their staff and operation, which fitted well with the theme “working together”. A number of factors led to the Falkirk branch taking the award, these included: investment in equipment, multitasking, use of third party resources and probably most importantly, dedication from all involved.
Steve McMurray, director of the Falkirk centre, felt the award was a real boost for his team who work hard to achieve great customer satisfaction. Commenting on that all important element of dedication, he said: “All of our staff are aware of what we aim to achieve - a service and product which they are proud of. Our quality test question is ‘Would you pay for this product or service?’ If they even have to think about the answer then the answer is no and they then make the necessary improvements to ensure we maintain our high standards. We aim to achieve a no hesitation yes 100% of the time. We are proud of the quality of our work which results in a very high rate of customer retention.”
Signs Express (Falkirk) has been trading for nearly 20 years with Steve at the helm for the past nine. The company provides a wide range of signs in and around Falkirk in areas such as Cumbernauld, Dunblane, Grangemouth and Stirling. With nearly 30 years of personal experience in the sign industry, Steve and his team are well equipped to deal with any type of sign enquiry. They take great pride in their design led approach to ensure their customers get good value for money by buying signs that really work for them.
