Top accolade for leading sign firm

Signs Express Limited News and PR from Signs Express Limited - Published 25 November 2013 Signs Express (North East Lincolnshire), who have a custom designed production centre in Grimsby, were the proud winners of the Franchisee of the Year award at this year’s Signs Express convention, held at the Radisson Blu hotel in Derby on Friday 8th November.
The convention was based around the theme ‘working together’ and consisted of seminars and speakers during the day followed by an awards dinner and evening entertainment.
The Lincolnshire sign makers, who fought off strong competition from other centres, were delighted with their highly coveted win. There was double celebration on the night too as Matt Bevis who is a co-director at the centre, was also named a finalist for the Most Collaborative Franchisee award.
Signs Express (North East Lincolnshire) was established in 1992 and is co-directed by father and son team Ken and Matt Bevis alongside director Claire Lindley. As the most successful franchisees in the network, the sign making centre has grown enormously over the years, investing in the latest machinery and thriving on its excellent quality standards and customer service, culminating in their best year ever this year.
Presenting the award, Craig Brown, managing director said, “The dedication that Signs Express (North East Lincolnshire) have to their business has earned them a fantastic reputation locally and they are an asset to the network. They continue to uphold the Signs Express values whilst focussing on strong customer relationships and quality products. The team are very worthy winners of this accolade”
The second nomination for The Most Collaborative Franchisee award was also particularly triumphant as it was voted for by other franchisees. It represented the very essence of the conference being based on working together.
Working with a wide variety of customers from all sectors as well as providing a trade service to many other sign makers, the Lincolnshire based centre covers areas in and around Grimsby, Cleethorpes, Scunthorpe, Louth, Brigg and Barton Upon Humber. The team strive to provide consistently good customer service and products to their ever expanding list of clients.
As one of the first franchisees for Signs Express and with a team of 18 staff, Ken Bevis has also found time to become heavily involved in the British Franchise Association, voted as one of only three franchisees to sit on the board. His remit to bring his expertise and insight from running a successful franchise for over 20 years and bring a unique perspective to the Association which has previously been counselled by Franchisors.
Signs Express (North East Lincolnshire) is one of 70 centres across the UK and operates from a purpose built 6500ft production unit. The sign making team provide a wide range of signs and graphics to businesses.
