Disturbed Asbestos Leads To 30k Fine

AW Safety Management Ltd News and PR from AW Safety Management Ltd - Published 05 July 2022 A 30k fine has been handed out to a construction company after asbestos was spread across a construction site during a refurbishment project.

During the work, asbestos pipe lagging was removed and the debris was spread around the site being disposed of in a skip in the yard area.

The company director pleaded guilty to breaches of Section 2 (1) and Section 3(1) of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, by virtue of 37(1) of the Act.
