Electric
actuators are used for the automation of industrial valves, and they can be
found in all types of technical processing plants. Electrical actuators are used
in power plants, waste water treatment plants, and refineries, and they play an
important part in automating process control. The valves that are to be
automated can vary both in design and dimension, and the valves diameters can
range from just a few inches to a few metres. Depending on their type of supply
actuators may be classified as hydraulic, pneumatic or electric actuators. There
are different types of actuator, multi-turn actuators, part-turn actuators and
linear actuators.
