Jtech Services News and PR from Jtech Services - Published 22 December 2020 Jtech Services have recently supplied and installed GRP Column Casings for an apartment block project in Reading.
Timing was essential so that coordination between the Jtech Services installation team and the Balustrading contractors could take place. Apart from just installing the columns, the apertures then had to be marked out by the metal work installers and then we precision cut them out ready for the steelwork to be slotted in. The result? Neat joints on the columns and neat cut outs where the balustrades meet the columns.

GRP was the clear choice for this particular external application, as the columns will not only be exposed to the elements but also the through colour of the GRP means that any scratches will not show. These were big factors in the decision to go with this product.

The benefits of using GRP across a wide range of applications on the outer envelope of a building has been apparent for many years and continues to be developed to provide even better practical and visual appeal to the setting of a building.
