News and PR from MECI Ltd - Published 24 October 2016 Newly offered by MECI are the latest solutions from Keystone Electronics offering Steel Threaded Standoffs in Surface Mount (SMT) format for automated installation.

This SMT format allows for faster assembly times, and reduces scrappage and handling, as well as minimizing the possibility of damage to the PCB by poorly swaged alternatives.

The SMT Standoffs are supplied on 13" Tape & Reel, with a Kapton top tape allowing the standoffs to be placed on the PCB using standard vacuum pick and place equipment.

A variety of heights are available from 1.57mm to 9.53mm across various threads 2-56, 4-40 & 6-32.
