Chaintec announces new Call & Collect service.

Established over 20 years ago, Chaintec has become the UKÂ’s leading supplier of high quality, off-the-shelf and specialist forklift chains, lifting chains, lift truck chains and leaf chains. The company carries the largest range and biggest stock of leaf chain in the UK.

David Hassan, managing director for Chaintec, explains: “We have ambitious plans for growth over the next couple of years, and are refocusing the business on our key strengths in distribution. We want to build on our Chaintec Direct delivery service with a FREE Call & Collect service which will be quickly followed by the launch of a new Trade Counter.”

“When we were looking for a base for our Midlands operation it made sense to talk to Bob Wellsbury at Donghua Limited who I've known for many years. Because we are an Approved Donghua Product Partner, Bob was delighted to help and offered us the use of a vacant ground floor office at Donghua’s distribution centre in Wednesbury near Wolverhampton; it’s an ideal location close to motorways for serving the whole of the Midlands area.”

David continued: “The new Trade Counter will not be ready until the autumn; in the meantime our Call & Collect Service is up and running allowing customers to place a telephone order and collect it free of charge from the Midlands’ depot.”

“Same day delivery in the Midlands’ area, for all urgent requests, is still available via Chaintec Direct but, to facilitate our new services, from 20th August all Chaintec Direct deliveries will become chargeable.”

“We are excited about these new developments and if this facility is well received, we may well consider establishing Trade Counters in other parts of the UK.”
