Major Software Up-Grades

Interface Force Measurements Ltd News and PR from Interface Force Measurements Ltd - Published 01 April 2016 XSensor Announce Major Advanced in Both Sensor and Software Performance
XSensor have introduced the new LX100 and LX200 range of pressure sensors which are available with 0.1-4psi and 0.2 to 15psi calibrations. These sensors have introduced new standards of both accuracy and calibration stability to the pressure mapping industry. We believe that the quoted full scale Hysteresis is the lowest of any pressure mapping sensor currently available, ensuring highly accurate data collection. In addition, the LX range has the highest degree of calibration stability ever offered by XSensor. Tests have shown that these sensors are still within 2% of the original calibration after five years of simulated use, ensuring continuous, accurate measurement along with the flexibility and robust reliability XSensor’s sensor are renowned for.

There are currently three sensor sizes available in the LX range, from 45cm x 45cm to 60.9cm x 60.9cm active area and other sizes are being added to the range all the time. Please see the accompanying data sheet for full details.

Major Software Up-Grades

Along with improvements in sensor performance, XSensor has just announced very significant up-grades to its X3 Pro series software. The new X3 ProV7 retains all the functionality and ease of use of previous versions, but with new, industry leading functions that are not currently available from any other manufacturer. These include;

Auto Seat Mode - A comprehensive tool for seating designers, providing photo import; pressure image overlay; H-point sizing and adjustment and surface area measurement and reporting. Users can now overlay pressure images on photos or graphics and adjust the pressure image size and positioning to specific H-points references. Groupings can then be created and information presented in the images and on a body form.
Tyre Zone Mode – A systematic tool for recording tire pressure images, selecting specific images and then calculating lengths, ratios, contact area and groove area fractions. This process allows for adjustment of applied measurements lines with automatic recalculation of measurements.
Sensel Transforms – This tool allows users to move a pressure image within the window to align with previous images. Misalignment or movement of sensors can be adjusted afterwards to provide more consistency in image alignment for averaging and analysis.
High Speed Data Acquisition – The Pro V7 software now provides the ability to use specific X3 high speed sensors, enabling data recording rate of up to 500 frames per second. For the first time XSensor technology can be used in high speed testing environments.
