Brassica and Hearth of the Ram Included in the 2016 Michelin Guide

HG Stephenson Ltd News and PR from HG Stephenson Ltd - Published 22 September 2015 Brassica in Heaton Moor and Hearth of the Ram in Ramsbottom represent the North West by receiving 2016 Michelin Bib Gourmands.
Henry Stephenson, Managing Director of Stephensons, supplier of catering equipment to both Brassica and Hearth of the Ram, said, “Hearth of the Ram and Brassica are proof that Michelin awards are possible regardless of location.

“These 2 restaurants are a testament to the North West. We are delighted to see our customers do well and foresee even more success next year.

“As a Stockport based company, we are proud of the area and take great pleasure in seeing nearby businesses succeed.”

Brassic Grill Restaurant Manager, Garry Lui, said, “We are obviously delighted to have been included. There aren’t too many inclusions from the North West so we’re chuffed.

“We have only been open for 11 months so to have achieved this honour in such a short amount of time is a testament to Paul Faulkner, our Company Director and Chef, as well as the whole team here at Brassica.

“Customer favourites at Brassica are the scallops with avocado and mango to start, then the oxcheek pudding followed by Paul’s signature dessert, the raspberry soufflé. We offer great food and price it competitively which is key to our success.”

Hearth of the Ram in Ramsbottom has been included in the Michelin Guide for a 3rd successive year. Owner Euan Watkins said, “We are thrilled to have been awarded a Bib Gourmand because it represents restaurants that offer quality food and great value. Serving first-class food that is fairly priced is a fundamental characteristic of my restaurant and I believe this award is the pinnacle of the industry.

“A massive positive is that Hearth of the Ram have been able to reach these heights without financial support from investors. This restaurant is independently owned by me and that allows us the freedom to change the menu regularly and bring flair and creativity to the table.”
