BPIF says customer demands a top printing challenge

Zerographic Systems Ltd News and PR from Zerographic Systems Ltd - Published 19 January 2015 Meeting customers’ increasingly complex print needs is a leading challenge facing the professional print industry, according to the British Printing Industry Federation.
Customers are demanding shorter run lengths, higher volumes, faster turnaround, more personalisation, better quality, colour consistency and lower costs.

“There has never been a better time for printers to engage with customers as a result of the changes in technology and marketers,” BPIF director, Marcus Clifford, told delegates at the industry event Professional Print 2014 on November 5th, in Wakefield.

“Innovation,” he added, “is the key to success and the way to readdress the balance between smaller and larger businesses.”

Professional Print 2014: Turning Science Into Art also featured guests from leading industry organisations including Xerox, XMPie, EFI and Morgana.

The event was hosted by Zerographic Systems Ltd at its Wakefield branch. ZerographicÂ’s head of marketing, Toni Gibiino, said the company would now look to hold similar events on an annual basis.
