Now in their sixth year, the BEEAs aim to promote the quality of engineering design within the UK and celebrate the British companies that are competing on a global stage and holding their own. Nylacast have been shortlisted twice for the category of Materials Application of the Year.

Headquartered in Leicester, England, with additional locations in multiple continents, Nylacast successfully deliver a wide spectrum of custom components and solutions to many companies and is renowned as a global leader in the field of Engineering Plastics.

Specialising in the formulation of engineering materials and plastics, the engineering firm work closely with many customers and partners to replace traditional materials and metals, formulate new custom materials and components and deliver highly increased performance and efficiency levels for thousands of engineering and industry applications worldwide. The 2014 BEEAs will take place on the 9th of October on Northumberland Avenue, located in central London. This year's potential winners were selected by an expert panel of judges drawn from a cross section of electronic and engineering design disciplines, including: Philippa Oldham, head of transport and manufacturing for the IMechE; Andrew Burrows, chief technology officer of i20 Water; and Ashley Evans, director of electronics for techUK.
