Intruder Detection Systems

Barkston Plastics Engineering News and PR from Barkston Plastics Engineering - Published 26 January 2024 Barkston Plastic Engineering has been selected to develop, manufacture and assemble the very latest development in on-site intruder detection systems.
Our team of engineers worked closely with the customer to develop the design from concept to something that could be manufactured efficiently and within the commercial constraints required in this very competitive market.

The basic brief was that the product had to be robust and light-weight for easy deployment, using materials that could be recycled.

Once the design had been chosen it was decided that the most efficient way to proceed would be for Barkston Plastic engineering to carry out the assembly of all the electronics, as well as fabricating the stand and body. (The customer and Barkston realising the impact on the carbon footprint of the product).

Assembly includes batteries, solar panels, cameras, sirens wiring looms etc. Our production and technical teams have put together production assembly cells, developing a production process which brings together all the elements, meeting the product launch date.

Cell 1 fabricates all the plastic components and prepares each security Pod for assembly.

Cell 2 Fastens and connects all the electronic components, before testing and arming the device before despatching to the customer.

Key Features
A product that steps up and thrives in extreme environments.
Fabricated in a material which is widely recyclable (no landfill).
Real cost savings in fabrication and lead time.
A functional and aesthetically pleasing unit.
Our team of engineers worked closely with the customer
