Pick Ups Get Toughened Up

Barkston Plastics Engineering News and PR from Barkston Plastics Engineering - Published 07 December 2012 Barkston Plastics Engineering are manufacturing a super strong polypropylene structure to transform pick up trucks like Ford Rangers into stronger, more impact resistant yet lighter utility vehicles
Barkston Plastics Engineering Ltd is helping John Dennis Coachbuilders to transform pick up trucks like Ford Rangers into stronger, more impact resistant yet lighter utility vehicles.

The Leeds based plastic engineering team is using its fabrication expertise to manufacture a super strong polypropylene structure, known as The PolyBilt JakPak, replacing the original composite versions which break more easily.

The chairman of Barkston Plastic Engineering, Tim Kiernan, says the new PolyBilt JakPak is so hard wearing and tough that itÂ’s much less likely to need repair in the event of an impact than the original composite product. And, if it does somehow need repair there is less downtime needed than with conventional coachwork.
