Engine Restoration
An Engine Restoration refers to the inspection, repair, replacement and machining of an engines parts and working components either mechanical or electrical. The engine and all of its components must be inspected and restored to its original factory specifications. All of the parts including the block, crankcase, head, transmission housing etc should be inspected for cracks and other damage. All moving parts such as the pistons, crankshaft, camshaft, oil pump, bearings and bushings, flywheel, water pump and all others must be cleaned and measured against factory specifications and if necessary, machined or remanufactured to bring them in line. The same goes for the transmission, clutch, differential and all parts of the power line and drive line. All of the electrical system has to be inspected and if signs of wear are present, replaced. When all of this work has been carried out to the required level the whole and entire engine will have to be reassembled, replacing all worn seals, gaskets, belts and gears.
