Offshore
Electronics was formed in September 1990
following the successful Management Buy Out (MBO) of Eurotherm (Guernsey)
Limited from the EI Group.
The MBO was followed by a substantial bricks and mortar investment resulting in
a purpose built 20,000 sq ft facility, the latest automated assembly equipment
and quality staff.
Being an Electronic Contract manufacturer our aim was, and still is to provide the best electronic contract manufacturing
service for our UK, European and International customers.
Today, Offshore Electronics is still 100% owned and managed by the original team
of seven. During this time the company turnover has grown from £1 million to in
excess of £6 million.
We currently employ 70 staff and have an
experienced senior management team who are responsible for the day to day
running of the operation.
Based just offshore on the beautiful island of Guernsey, we enjoy a low
overhead, tax friendly environment with excellent daily freight and passenger
links by sea and air.

Material Supply
We provide a very competitive procurement service with low pricing and efficient
supply chain management.
Surface Mount Assembly
Our 2 SMD lines consist of 2 DEK265 screen printers, 2 GEM Topaz chipshooters, 2
GEM Emerald fine pitch placement machines and 2 reflow ovens.
Axial, DIL & Radial Insertion
We have 2 Amistar AI6448 axial component insertion machines, Universal & Amistar
DIP insertion machines and a Universal RAD5 radial insertion machine.
Assembly Area
We have 2 Blundel flow solder machines for tin lead and lead free soldering and
a skilled and dedicated workforce of 65 in a modern, purpose built 20,000sq ft
factory.
Test
We have a Teradyne Z1890VP ATE plus full functional test capability along
with a
skilled team of electronic engineers.
Quality Assurance & Control
We operate a total quality management system with BS EN ISO9001:2000 and BABT
accreditation. |
