Protecting world leaders who will gather in Cornwall later this month, the UK is hosting the first G7 Summit since the Covid pandemic began.

The high-profile guest list includes US President Joe Biden, who will be making his first official visit to the UK. He will join other world leaders from major world economies, including UK, Japan, Canada, Germany, France and Italy. The UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has described this year’s G7 Summit as a ‘crucial event’ as leaders address unprecedented public health and economic issues.

Centred at Carabis Bay near St Ives, the Summit, taking place on June 12th and 13th, will also use other venues across Cornwall, while media and the many hundreds of people making up the support teams will be accommodated in locations some distance from the main site.

The G7 leaders themselves will stay at the Tregenna Castle Hotel in St Ives.
