Launched in 1991 and supported by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, Investment in People helps businesses in their attempts to make improvements in motivation and employee engagement, staff turnover, productivity, innovation and a wide range of other areas. Meeting the gold standard requires firms to meet an extensive range of goals over and above core accreditation.
"We are extremely proud to have been awarded IIP Gold which puts us in the top five per cent of businesses in the UK and, I believe, puts us head and shoulders above other IT solutions and support providers in our sector," said Lima Networks technical director Paul Almond.
"Since we founded the business in 1997, our people and corporate values have always been at the core of our business ethos," he added. "We are very proud of this award - however, without our people, their drive and determination to succeed, we could never have achieved such a prestigious accreditation."
Lima Networks Financial Controller Cath Bracken said that the firm was "extremely proud" to have secured gold standard IIP accreditation, which she hailed as a "fantastic acknowledgement" of the company's determination to make itself "an excellent place to work".
IIP assessor Liam Linacre noted that the "commitment and hard work" of the Lima Networks team over the last three years had delivered "consistent and measured improvements". He praised the firm for its commitment to "the principles of good management" and the continued development of its general approach to business.
