3D Laser Scanning Available at NDPP

NDPP continue to heavily invest in the latest equipment which is supported by the recent investment of a FARO 3D Laser Scanning Arm.The arm can scan to an accuracy of 46 μm over 2.5m, however, we have conducted tests with a 100mm slip gauge and have received results of sub 10 μm.
In the short time that we have had our FARO laser scanning arm it has proven to be very useful for assisting customers by providing comparison reports between the tool model and the damaged tooling. This allowed us to quickly identify the areas that required attention, and therefore allowing the repair to be conducted in a timely manner.
