Intelligent components for smart robots

Whether in industrial robots or in servo axes in medical engineering - moved loads must not drop or crash in an uncontrolled manner after power switch-off or in case of power failure or emergency stop. Only this way, the close cooperation between humans and robots can work. This is made possible by safety brakes, which hold the axes in their position reliably and safely. In times of Industry 4.0 and a growing need for data from the machine, intelligent monitoring is also becoming increasingly more important. With a combination of technically leading brake technology and innovative monitoring solutions, the hurdles can be overcome and robots made smarter.
