A First Class Installation From Safesite

Safesite Ltd News and PR from Safesite Ltd - Published 12 August 2013 Safesite has installed radiused KeeGuard edge protection systems at Warwick Business School
Safesite Limited has installed a radiused KeeGuard edge protection system at
Warwick Business School in order to ensure safe access to the SchoolÂ’s roofs.

Part of the University of Warwick, Warwick Business School is recognised as
one of the worldÂ’s elite business schools. As with many sites, plant and
machinery such as air conditioning units are housed on the SchoolÂ’s roofs
which meant that access to the roof was required for maintenance of these
units as well as for the roof itself. Fall protection was provided by lifeline
systems, however systems such as these require high levels of training and
supervision so an alternative solution was required.

Following a survey and assessment of the roof areas by Safesite, KeeGuard
free standing guardrail was specified to provide edge protection on the roof, allowing
maintenance work to be carried out in complete safety. Being freestanding,
KeeGuard provides permanent edge protection without the need fix the
system into the roofÂ’s structure or membrane. A further benefit of the
system is that it can be radiused so that it curves back gently towards the
roof to provide a more discreet solution which was a requirement of the
University.
“We wanted to install collective protection on the roof but we needed a system which wouldn’t detract from the building’
