Natural Frequency Feeder for handling peeled shrimp

The principle function set by the customer was to convey the peeled shrimp along the trough in a single depth of product for presentation to a sorter.

Therefore AViTEQ designed a guided arm natural frequency conveyor type OLR1200/2000 with twin stainless steel unbalanced motors.

The trough was manufactured from 316 (1.4541) stainless steel with a structural surface (dimpled) The inlet area of the trough contains a distribution plate so to enable the spreading of the shrimps across the full width of the tray.

The peeled shrimps are fed to the conveyor at a width of 400mm, the distribution plates spread the shrimp across the 1200mm side tray in a single layer depth. This therefore enable the sorter to operate an optimal efficiency.
