Garnish partner with Portech Systems for summer of festivals

Portech Systems News and PR from Portech Systems - Published 11 December 2018 Drinks-only marketing agency, Garnish have recruited Portech Systems to revolutionise their bars and stand event management activations.
The brief came through following a run of high footfall sales events such as The Ideal Home Show in which a large amount) of time was spent ensuring correct stock takes on behalf of their clients were correct which led to slower service and opportunity for human error. With a busy summer of brand activations planned the company wanted to find a way to increase service speed, allow for discounting and to provide clients 100% accurate post-event reports.

Using handheld barcode scanners and the bespoke Portech Systems software allows Garnish to record all stock-in/out, stock sample and sales. The software allocates time stamps to each sample and sale, letting the company know best sales periods and ensuring staffing is correct. A key feature of the software is also the discounting feature which allows staff to put set discounts on products, a feature that is key when maximising sales opportunities at festivals.

Nik Koster, Director at Garnish said: “Our clients expect the best service and reporting from Garnish when we are representing them. Our reporting was from the stone age, it’s common practice at these festivals to use old school techniques for stock take, sales, data capture and reporting at these shows. We are certainly one of the first agencies to recognise the need for a new way of doing things here.”

“Our needs called for bespoke software for the hardware we already had, Portech Systems hit the brief perfectly with our new systems and we immediately saw the effects with more efficient bars and client reporting.”
