Project - Birmingham New Street

As part of the first element in the redesign and redevelopment of the Birmingham Line, Birmingham New Street Station is having major refurbishment works completed. As one of the busiest mainline train stations outside of London, this station demands the best in quality and design of stair nosings, and AATi were on hand to supply them.

With over 100,000 passengers travelling through the New Street Station every day the safety of every passenger was forefront in the designersÂ’ minds. This meant that AATi was able to work closely with all parties to ensure that only the best Antislip and Antiwear stair nosings were used.

AATiÂ’s SN93/SL3/140 and SN93/SL3/280 profiles are rapidly becoming popular stair nosings across the rail sector, known for durability, longevity and design appeal. They were used in the first phase of refurbishment and are sure to make an appearance once the next phases come into fruition.
