Latest equipment innovations unveiled at FABTECH 2016

From November 16-18, the Wheelabrator team joined more than 1,300 exhibiting companies at FABTECH Las Vegas 2016, the largest metal forming, fabricating, welding and finishing event in North America.

Over 28,000 attendees from the US and further afield converged on the Las Vegas Convention Center to network, learn and experience the latest innovations in the industry.

Based at booth C23047, Wheelabrator experts were on hand to speak to numerous industry professionals about specific application needs and requirements for their companies.

Among the latest equipment innovations discussed at this year’s event was the SpinTrac range – a new and improved version of one of Wheelabrator’s most popular designs.

The unique positioning of the SpinTracÂ’s blast wheels ensures every part of the workpiece is cleaned as the hook rotates, rather than some areas receiving less coverage. This can reduce blast cycle times by as much as 25%.

Also popular was WheelabratorÂ’s new Barrel Blast machines. Designed on a relatively small footprint, the new machines are accessible from all sides for ease of maintenance, and come with fully integrated abrasive logistics.

The hard-wearing barrel with its characteristic octagonal design ‘tumbles’ parts more gently, while ensuring they are reliably exposed to the blast stream from all sides.
