WIKA Instruments Limited acquires ASL

DH Budenberg News and PR from DH Budenberg - Published 28 October 2014 With the acquisition of ASL, WIKA has taken a further step to strengthen its leading role in the market of calibration technology.
ASL manufactures and supplies precision temperature metrology and calibration equipment worldwide, areas where WIKA already has an established presence. Over 90% of the sales are outside the UK.

WIKA Instruments Limited has exchanged contracts with Elektron Technology plc for the purchase of the business and assets of its ASL brand. As part of this transaction, all employees involved in the ASL business will transfer from ElektronÂ’s Redhill site, which is scheduled for closure early 2013, to the nearby WIKA premises. The ASL business will move into a new purpose built assembly, calibration/test and service facility within the existing WIKA building.

The transfer of ASL employees will ensure the continuity of supply, calibration/test, service, development and technical sales support for the complete product range. WIKA has a long term plan for the ASL capability and will be further enhancing and developing the product offering.
