GAME Engineering Ltd Completes Project

GAME Engineering Ltd News and PR from GAME Engineering Ltd - Published 24 October 2016 GAME Engineering Ltd Completes Project For UK’s Largest Dry Pet Food Manufacturer
WAGG Foods is the largest producer of dried dog food in the UK and GAME Engineering have further increased their production facility by 33% with completion of a ÂŁ3.5 million project.

Since 2001, GAME Engineering have helped Wagg develop its production facility almost from scratch. The latest works to be completed have added a new 4th dedicated extrusion line.

The new extrusion line uses equipment manufactured in Denmark and will be used as a standalone facility to produce and pack organic pet food and small animal products. Installed by Lincolnshire-based GAME Engineering Ltd, this is the fourth extrusion line installed at Wagg FoodsÂ’ plant in Dalton.

The finished production line includes smooth walled storage bins which have been produced by Belgium manufacturer SCE.

“We are delighted to have been able to support Wagg’s exciting plans and deliver innovative, effective and efficient production lines,” said Joseph Hoare, Project Manager.

“The project has been challenging at times but it has been incredibly rewarding to be able to design, build and deliver a complete production line from start to finish for a client we have worked with for more than a decade.”

GAME Engineering completed a full production line at Wagg Foods after a nine month design and build process. They supplied and installed the new production plant, including material handling equipment, sorting/screening equipment, grinding machinery, specialised process plant, structural steelwork and access platforms.

As the new production line was intended to tie with the overall manufacturing process at the facility, it was essential that every part and process fitted seamlessly with the existing line. In order to ensure this happened, GAME Engineering used detailed CAD designs, created in house, and a team of more than 40 staff, contractors and suppliers.

Game Engineering was also able to supply individually designed and manufactured items in their own on-site bespoke fabrications workshop.

Over the last 23 years, Wagg Foods have established themselves as BritainÂ’s largest dry pet food manufacturer, employing over 100 people at their North Yorkshire site.

“Wagg Foods has enjoyed a long a fruitful relationship with GAME Engineering and long may it continue. The engineers at GAME have the experience and professionalism we require to complete our projects with minimum disruption to the rest of the plant,” said George Page, Production Director at Wagg Foods.
