Lambient, the Massachusets based manufacturer of dielectric cure monitoring systems for thermosets, have introduced a new miniature press for general use in applying heat and pressure to materials.
The LTP-250 Micro-press can operate with or without a dual temperature controller. With the Lambient Technologies dual temperature controller independent control of each platen is possible. Heating range is ambient to 350°C and maximum applied force is 680kg. Platen area is 75mm square.
The Micro-press is also useful for the curing of polymeric thermoset materials such as epoxies and polyesters etc. Providing a portable, easily operated platform to reproduce time-temperature-pressure profiles of most polymers. When used with the Lambient Technologies Cureview software and dielectric sensors the press becomes a complete testing station for dielectric cure studies of thermoset materials.
