Laserline Road Marking Ltd News and PR from Laserline Road Marking Ltd - Published 16 May 2016 Laserline Road Marking Ltd recently completed a large contract for Balfour Beatty at Heysham Nuclear Power Station 1, Morecambe, Lancashire. LA3 2XQ.
We carried out the contract which involved applying walkways and road markings to the Nuclear Plant site and also a large car park which was external of the site.

Laserline had to satisfy extensive Health & Safety requirements to be accepted by Balfour Beatty as a supplier to the Nuclear Industry. The Laserline staff were also required to clear stringent security measures before being admitted onto the Heysham Nuclear Plant. Laserline passed all required criteria's and are now a recognised Balfour Beatty contractor as well as a recognised Nuclear Power Industry contractor.

Before the works could commence, Laserline had to satisfy extensive requirements regarding Risk Assessments and COSSH Risk assessments. In depth technical data was needed for every material to be used on the power site. All requirements were met satisfactorily.

During the contract works Laserline staff had to adhere to precise health and safety requirements at all times especially with regards to Fire Safety given the nature of the site. The vehicles and machinery had to be in tip top condition to satisfy the resident fire officer who was required to accompany us at all times.

All the works were completed on time and to the customersÂ’ exact requirements. There were no problems whatsoever during the works being carried out and Balfour Beatty were very happy with the completed job.

As a result of this contract, Laserline Road Marking Ltd is now a contractor to the nuclear industry, and has completed contracts on other nuclear sites in the UK.
