It was great to see our local MP and great friend to Aluminium Shapes Andy Sawford (2nd from the left) banging the aluminium drum again recently. Andy’s who’s aluminium appetite was whetted on his visit to us last year took up an invite to guest alongside other aluminium parliamentarians and industry insiders at the Aluminium Federation’s breakfast briefing in the famous Upper Watling Hall in Westminster recently. It can only be a good thing that people with his youth and energy are working to support us in an industry which employs 20,000 people and generates in excess of £4.2 billion per year. Andy we salute you!
