The Phantom Rises

Castech (UK) Ltd News and PR from Castech (UK) Ltd - Published 23 October 2014 With the help of Castech (UK) Ltd, the Phantom has risen!
Thanks to Castech (UK), the Phantom has risen! One of our recent Sand Casting projects has been to manufacture a Carburetor for the Rolls Royce Phantom 3 for a business that restores old Rolls Royce’s and get them back to their best.

As you can see from the photograph, the Aluminium Casting involved intricate details and thin wall sections. A complex moulding assembly was required in order to achieve this.

Due to the nature of the component, high standard material integrity was vital. We used our certified ignot material (Aluminium LM6) to ensure the carburetor was up to the task. Once cast, the component is shot blast (photograph is just cast, before shot blasting).

It is always lovely to be involved in a project with such heritage. We are proud to have restored this classic British car with our excellent British Sand Casting methods.
