The birds have flown!

'Mythic Birds' by Broadbent Studios, a new art installation manufactured by CMA Moldform Ltd, had only been installed for a few days before six of the twelve Mythic Birds disappeared.They were intended as part of Wyre CouncilÂ’s Mythic Coast Art Trail between Cleveleys and Fleetwood, and attracted much interest and attention from both passersby and the local bird population, however half the flock has migrated early after six were stolen from the wall of the promenade seating area some time over the weekend. The remainder of the transparent resin sea swallows were removed by council staff on Monday until further notice.
The swallows were commissioned by Wyre Council and paid for from the European Regional Development Fund awarded for the furniture element of the Cleveleys sea defence works.
Lancashire Police are out twitchingÂ…Â…Â…
...and attracted much interest and attention from both passersby and the local bird population...
