Manitowoc Foodservice has pioneered the development of blended ice machines since 2006. To protect our Research and Development investments, Manitowoc Foodservice has been filing patent applications globally to protect our innovative concepts.

Included in these concepts are:
•Blending in a single serving cup
•Automatic or user-selectable Clean-in-Place
•Recipe creation via a user-friendly touch screen interface
•Multiple simultaneous or consecutive drink production
•Fully integrated on-board ice system
•Sophisticated control systems

Manitowoc has been granted 8 U.S. patents and 16 non-U.S. patents. Additionally, 9 U.S. and 54 international applications are pending. As we invent and file for more patents, we will further expand our worldwide patent estate. This ensures our customers will have the most innovative and protected blended ice machines in the market. In fact our innovation was recognized as a 2010 National Restaurant Association Kitchen Innovation award winner.
