A great deal of care and effort goes into fall prevention in care homes and nursing homes. Naturally this concern is shared by us here at Heracles and we are running a short series of three articles on items in our range of nursecall spares that reflect this. These are the NC42, NC2 & NC22 and the NC15 ranges

The NC42, Collar clip, is a simple and very economic nursecall spare. It is made up of a clip with flat edges mounted on a short press stud collar. It comes in packets of 10 and costs just

ItÂ’s use, is to hold a buzzer lead (EG. NC1) in place, so that it is in an accessible position. This also serves two purposes; 1) The buzzer lead does not fall on the floor, so the resident does not run the risk of falling when trying to retrieve it

The way it operates is; the collar wraps around the buzzer lead and is fastened using the press stud, the clip then grips onto fabric, which is usually a cushion, pillow, sheet, cardigan Etc.
