A Donation of Crates to a Special Needs School

Plastic Box Sales News and PR from Plastic Box Sales - Published 12 February 2024 We recently supplied a special needs school with a range of crates and received feedback from them.
We wanted to share the feedback we received:

I just wanted to fill you in on your donation of crates.

The ones with a lid are amazing storage for our balls and bee keeping equipment that has been donated so are being used already.

The money is going to be used to buy a couple of scooters and helmets for the children to use.

However, it is the green crates that have had the most impact. Children are being creative, using their imaginations, working together and even getting the chance to manage risk.

I put them on the playground and the children have put them to such good use. We have children sitting in them being pushed by their friends like chariot racing. We have had children constructing mazes and dens. Even the 11 year olds have been using them to hide behind when playing hide and seek. Another fun game is to create a slide out of scaffold planks and sit in the crates to slide down.

There is a group of slightly older children who have taken it upon themselves to construct and run an obstacle course with them by using the parent shelter and adding scaffold planks and tyres. The queue for their efforts is at least 15 children long every break.

The older ones help the smaller ones around their course, holding their hands if necessary. One of our children with additional needs finds it great fun and spends his breaks with a massive smile on his face.

I wanted you to know how the crates are being used and that it has made a massive difference to playtimes and the children's enjoyment.
