REDUC Foundation Extra together with SoundSlab has recently been installed into the St Pauls United Reform Church extension and refurbishment. Built in the 19th Century, the five-storey, multi-purpose structure is an Unlisted Building of Merit in the Westbourne Conservation Area. To enable the continued life of the building and ensure its use as a community hub, whilst also making it fully accessible to all visitors, the works have created a new place of worship, a new community hall and office facilities and two high quality private apartments on the upper floors.
The brief from the client to Hodgson & Hodgson’s sales team was to specify a system that ‘far exceeded’ the requirements of Building Regulations Approved Document E. REDUC Foundation Extra was specified & installed within the project as a structural floor. The solution has achieved figures in excess of 50dB DnTw +Ctr.
