The London District Heating Manual recommends that systems should be capable of operating at 110°C / 55°C and 16 bar.
PIPE2000 and BRUGG Pipesystems offer a solution: for connections up to DN100, CASAFLEX® is a flexible, self-compensating, stainless steel carrier pipe with bonded PIR insulation and is rated up to 160°C and 16 bar.
It can be used on its own or be connected to steel distribution mains and comes complete with leak detection wires. The physical characteristics of the corrugated carrier pipe enable it to be laid quickly and without having to consider thermal expansion.
CASAFLEX® district heating pipe is delivered on coils in the required lengths e.g. DN20: up to 560m and DN100: up to 75m The pipe can generally be laid with less joints than required by rigid pipes. This means that the pipe trench can be considerably narrower resulting in savings on underground work.
Over 2.5 million meters of CASAFLEX have been sold since 1997.

The District Heating Manual also notes that in some situations for some projects, lower temperatures and pressures may be considered. For LTHW systems running at 80° continuous and 6 bar, CALPEX® from PIPE2000 is a well proven solution with very low heat loss.

Both systems can be purchased direct from PIPE2000 with deliveries made direct from the factory to site.
All in all, technically sound and well proven solutions at competitive prices.
