    Inductive Components and Cores


    We distribute a wide range of inductive components and cores by VAC:

    Common Mode Chokes
    CMCs (common mode chokes) are suitable for various EMI requirement, they offer the highest attenuation in compact designs and are based on nanocrystalline VITROPERM®. VACs broad portfolio of standard types offers 4-fold CMCs, as well as solutions for 3-phase and 1-phase applications.

    Nanocrystalline and Amorphous Cores
    For measuring and detecting small residual / differential currents based on the fluxgate principle, VAC nanocrystalline and amorphous cores are the best choice. Tape-wound oval and toroidal cores made from amorphous VITROVAC® or nanocrystalline VITROPERM® provide low losses across a wide permeability range, from approximately µ ≈ 700 up to well above µ = 100,000.

    Gate Drive Transformers
    Gate drive transformers for IGBTs are a critical component of the driver circuit, providing the required power for switching while ensuring safe galvanic isolation between the intermediate circuit and the low-voltage control side. By using nanocrystalline VITROPERM® as the core material, VACUUMSCHMELZE gate drive transformers achieve high power density together with excellent insulation strength.

    Current Transformers
    VAC current transformers for 60Hz / 50Hz energy meters are manufactured from materials with the highest linearity and permeability. A wide range are available with current ranges of 6A up to 200A, with ANSI types from 20A to 320A. We also distribute shielded versions and very compact DC-tolerant versions.

    Current Sensors


    When it comes to current sensors, we supply UK customers with the very best VAC have to offer.

    Closed Loop P28x-Sensors
    Designed for demanding applications VAC P28x-Sensors provide high precision current measurement. Their new range of closed-loop phase current sensors are optimised for busbars thanks to the incorporated primary opening. Ideally suited for the measurements of pulsed currents in ranges of 150A to 350A, and the measurement of AC/DC.

    Open-Loop Current Sensors for Smart Industrial Solutions
    VACs new open loop sensors are designed for smart industrial solutions. Their new range are Hall-based open loop current sensors, ideally suited for the measurement of AC/DC in industrial applications. They can also measure pulsed currents in ranges of 80A to 120A.

    Open-Loop Current Sensors for Automotive Applications
    We now supply VACs new range of open loop current sensors designed specifically for automotive applications. These open loop current sensors offer a robust, automotive qualified hall element for high linearity and accuracy. Suited or the measurement of pulsed currents in ranges of 300A to 600A.

    benvac®
    For EV charging systems we supply benvac® by VAC. This differential current (DI) sensor has been designed specifically for EV charging systems. It detects hazardous electrical faults (both DC and AC) and can automatically trigger a shut-off in compliance with IEC 62752 or UL2231 safety standards.

    Differential Current Sensors
    VAC differential current sensors offer the highest accuracy for maximum electrical safety. They are closed loop and incorporate the VAC invented magnetic probe, which offers the highest accuracy possible. These sensors cover differential currents from as low as 30mA up to several Amps.
