Permali Deho Ltd are based in Gloucestershire UK, we are one of the world's largest producers of Compressed Laminated Wood and a subsidiary of the German based Deutsche Holzveredelung Schmeing GmbH & Co., KG.

We are a family-owned business with over 70 years manufacturing experience. Our product range is comprehensive, we offer everything from assembled structures and fully machined components to standard boards.

Permali Deho are leading manufacturers of compressed laminate wood, we supply the complete range, also known as Densified Wood. All our products are manufactured to the latest international standards.

Off the shelf boards are stocked and available for immediate despatch, we also supply fully machined parts and cut billets.

Accredited to ISO 9001 standards our products are sold under the trade names of Permawood, Pemali, Permatred, Jabroc and Hydulignum to various markets including Cryogenic, Electrical, Nuclear and Motorsport.

Permali densified wood laminate is manufactured with selected beech veneers that are impregnated under vacuum with synthetic resin, it is then densified under pressure and heat. This process combines the moisture resistance and dimensional stability of thermosetting resins with the resilience and strength of natural timber.

Jabroc and Hydulignum have been developed especially for a diverse range of industrial applications. They are non-impregnated densified wood laminates of selected veneers that are klin dried to a given moisture content. The veneers are then cut and assembled into packs and coated with a film of synthetic resin.

- Aerospace (Low Speed Fans and Propellers)

Permawood is a non-impregnated compressed wood designed especially for use as insulation in any oil filled transformer and is available in various densities. To develop its high mechanical strength directionally it's grain arrangement can be varied. Permawood has a high strength/weight ratio, good dimensional stability and dielectric properties.

Our Jabroc range has been developed especially for the motorsport market and a range of industrial applications. The grade for this industry is specially constructed to the highest density possible. To achieve this, thin veneers are used to produce high strength, stable, dense laminated board with superb wear resistance.

- Motorsport (Wing End Plates, Underbody Skid Boards, HDF Skids & Splitter Skids)

This is a special Jabroc variation designed predominantly for the nuclear industry. 6% hydrogen content is added to the special grade densified wood laminate to provide Neutron Shielding. It is resistant to impact forces, high mechanical strength and is completely uniform. Jabroc 'N' can be readily machined to engineering tolerances.

Permarted is a hard-wearing material with good thermal, electrical and sound insulating properties. It is highly resistant to weak acids, alkalis, oil and petrol. Permatred is also non-corrosive and proof against rot, rodents, termites and fungus.
