years of experience in applied magnetics Maxmag Moulded Magnets are able to
offer a range of services and products including the design and manufacture of
custom magnets such as Isotropic, Anisotropic and Multipole magnetic components.
Maxmag can manufacture magnets by using the latest and up to date injection moulding processes which are a proven method of producing parts and precision components to complex shapes at close tolerances.
We offer our expertise in component design, toolmaking, prototyping, injection moulding. We are also able to carry out overmoulding and insert moulding along with post operational machining and assembly.
By utilising our innovative technology Maxmag are able to maximise the strength of the magnet to the desired direction by orientating the magnet material during the moulding process.
Isotropic and Anisotropic Magnets
An isotropic magnet possesses magnetic properties in equal directions whilst the Anisotropic magnets show superior performance in a specified direction or pattern.
Most of the magnets we produce are Anisotropic because our technology allows us to maximise the magnetic strength by orientating the material during production.
We can produce poles on both external and internal surfaces by utilising Multipole magnets. They can be equally spaced or can be specifically configured to meet the requirements of a particular component solution.
Typical applications include small motors, drive couplings, motion sensing using reed switches, inductive sensors or Hall Effect sensors.

Maxmag Moulded Magnets have the imagination, expertise and experience to help you realise your project through by utilising our intelligent approach to component design.
We will work closely with you from the early stages including initial concept which in some cases may range from simple sketch to a 3D solid CAD model.
Many years in the business has also allowed us to develop a number of relationships with material suppliers. This puts us well placed to produce our components not just in commodity plastics but some of the more challenging engineering polymers.
We have also developed a number of materials to offer a range of magnetic strengths and physical properties. These consist of magnetic micro-powders bonded in a polymer matrix which allows us to design and maximise specific properties for various diverse applications.
By utilising our design consultancy and precision toolmaking experience we can provide our customers with a cost effective and robust solution.
Maxmag Moulded Magnets have had many years of experience in all toolmaking disciplines including CNC machining, wire erosion and spark erosion. These techniques are all utilised in the production of our injection mould tools.
Our flexible approach to manufacturing enables us to offer a range of services, from sampling and small batch work right through to volume production and post-operative assembly.
We can supply you with a cost effective and robust component which may be designed to reduce post operations, or we can offer a range of post operations including assembly and machining.
